These Terms & Conditions confirms the basis on which we provide service to you to avoid any misunderstandings of our respective responsibilities. By registering on our site (www.projectstack.co.uk) means you are deemed to have accepted the Terms and Conditions listed within. If you do not agree to our Terms & Conditions, you may not use or access our website.
The Service is for use in the United Kingdom only. You must not access the Service from any other jurisdiction. You are responsible for all compliance with laws and regulations which apply to you.
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING OR REQUESTING THE SERVICES MADE AVAILABLE TO YOU VIA PROJECTSTACK AS THEY INCLUDE IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE SERVICES, YOUR RIGHTS AND OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION.

1. Definitions & Interpretation
1.1 In these terms & conditions, the following words and expressions have the following meanings:
“Customer” “You” “User” | Businesses and consumers who use the Website to search for a Expert who can provide the professional services they require. |
“Expert” “Tradesperson” “Service provider” “Seller” | The person offering the service to you. |
“Service “Job” “Project” | The service provided by the Expert to the customer. |
“Listing” | The services listed by the Expert. |
“Bookings” | Means the time and date Customers can book an Expert for the service they require. |
“Post a Request” “Request” | Means a request/project submitted by the Customer via our website for Experts to view and make an offer. |
“Offer” | Means when a Expert respond back to the Customer via our website with a price/quote for the request posted by the Customer. |
“Website” “Site” | Means projectstack.co.uk |
“Our” “us” “we” | ProjectStack the user and owner of the website. |
“Service Agreement” “Contractual Agreement” | Means any agreement reached between a Expert and a Customer concerning the services to be performed. A Service Agreement can be reached by; a verbal exchange, messaging on our site, telephone, SMS, email or in the form of a written statement/contract. |
2. Registration
2.1 You will be required to register to use our service. You agree to keep your password confidential and will be responsible for all use of your account and password. We reserve the right to remove, reclaim or change a username you select if we determine, in our sole discretion, that such username is inappropriate, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
3. Bookings
3.1 Customers will be able to search the Website to find potential Experts along with their services listed, and the Website algorithms will help identify Experts who may be able to meet the Customer’s requirements.
3.2 Listings for each service will feature price and a comprehensive service description. In the event of any unclear information or missing details regarding the service, it is the Customers responsibility to message the Expert through our platform to seek clarification the service.
3.3 Customers have the capability to book an Expert through the Expert’s dedicated listing page, where they will be prompted to submit a partial payment fee. This fee, ranging from 15% to 20% of the listing price, is remitted to ProjectStack. Subsequently, Customers are obligated to fulfill the remaining outstanding payment directly to the Expert.
3.4 When you book and complete the partial payment for a service listed on our website, the contractual agreement and specifics of the work to be performed are established directly between you and the Expert you have selected for the service. ProjectStack acts solely as a facilitator, connecting Customers and Experts within a trusted environment. We expressly disclaim any responsibility for the Service Agreement negotiated and executed between you and the Expert.
3.5 Customers warrant that before entering into a Service Agreement with any Tradesperson, they will verify further details such as confirmation of insurance cover, tradesperson guarantees, the tradesperson’s qualifications and any other documentation or information to ensure they are comfortable to employ the Tradesperson.
3.6 ProjectStack is not a party to any Service Agreement, contract or other agreement that may arise between a Customer and Expert as a result of their use of our Service. Accordingly, we are not liable for any loss or damage that you incur resulting from any such agreement.
3.7 Customers have the option to message the Expert prior to booking them. This gives you the chance to ask questions and queries you may have about the service. ProjectStack take no responsibility if there is a misunderstanding or misleading information between you and the Expert about the service that you have booked.
3.8 When booking an Expert, you will be required to pay a partial payment for the service within 24 hours after booking, otherwise the booking will automatically be cancelled. You could also lose your booking before the 24 hours if another user books & pays for the listed service.
3.9 The Customers details such as address where service is to be carried out, phone number or email address is not passed on to the Expert until payment for the service is completed.
3.10 The Customers is prohibited to message the Expert and give contact details such as email address, phone number or home address until payment is completed by them. The messaging function is monitored by ProjectStack.
4. Messages
4.1 Messages are monitored by ProjectStack.
4.2 Messages from Experts must:
- Not ask Expert for contact details such as address, phone number or email address
- Not include any racial slurs, sexist remarks or any other offensive language & content; and
- Not include your contact details or links to any other websites.
5. Post a Request
5.1 Customers will also be able to post a request about a Project/job they need doing. Experts are able to view the request and message the Customer with an offer through our site.
5.2 Your email & phone number will not be given to the Expert so they will only be able to contact you through our site. The request will automatically expire after 30 days.
5.3 If an Expert responds to your request with an offer you will receive an email notification. You can also check your request tab and click on the actual request in your user account dashboard on our site to to if you have any offers. If you receive an offer(s) you can accept it and pay for the service.
5.4 Customers also have the option to send a personal request to their Expert of choice.
5.5 ProjectStack do not guarantee that Expert(s) will respond back to the request with an offer.
5.6 If a Customer accepts an offer from an Expert, they will need to pay the partial payment for the service within 24 hours or the booking will be cancelled.
5.7 When a Customer accepts an offer & pays a partial payment to secure the booking as in Clause 3, the service agreement & details of the work(s) to be performed is between you and the Expert you booked to carry out the service you requested. ProjectStack acts solely as a facilitator, connecting Customers and Experts within a trusted environment. ProjectStack take no responsibility if there is a misunderstanding or misleading information between you and the Expert about the service offer you have accepted, paid for or booked.
6. Payments
6.1 At the time of booking, customers are required to make a partial payment, which is directed to ProjectStack. It is important to note that this partial payment exclusively belongs to ProjectStack. This mechanism is integral to sustaining our platform and enabling us to provide users with seamless access to instant service providers, complete with transparent information such as listed quotes. The remaining balance (listing price minus partial payment) is to be settled by the customer directly with the Expert.
6.2 Currently ProjectStack are using Paypal as a payment method.
7. Reschedule
7.1 If customer has booked a service but needs to reschedule the dates or time or both then the customer can cancel the booking via their dashboard and rebook the service at the new desired time/date if they have not yet paid for the service.
7.2 If the customer has paid for the service then they will need to re-arrange a new date or time directly with the Expert. HOWEVER CUSTOMERS ARE ADVISED TO KEEP EVIDENCE OF THE NEW TIME AGREED. THIS WILL PROTECT THE CUSTOMERS IF EXPERT DENIES THE CHANGE OF DATE OR TIME OR BOTH
8. Cancelation
8.1 All cancelations from the customer need to be done 24 hours or more before the service is due to be carried out. If the cancelation is done less than 24 hours before the service is due to be carried out ProjectStack hold the right to refuse you a refund.
8.2 If a customers decides to cancel 24hours hours or more before the service is due to be carried out they must inform the Expert by going into their dashboard and click on cancel booking. This will inform the Expert that the job has been cancelled.
9. Refunds
9.1 You will be entitled to a refund for the partial payment made when booking a service if: (a) a service you paid for hasn’t been done because the expert you booked didn’t show up; (b) an expert cancelled the booking; (c) you cancelled the booking 24 hours or more before the service was due to be carried out.
9.2 As a Customer, you acknowledge that once the service has commenced, we do not entertain refund requests for the partial payment. Any concerns or disputes regarding the ongoing work are to be resolved directly between you and the service provider you have booked.
9.3 ProjectStack bears no responsibility for funds directly paid by the customer to the Expert. In the event a refund is needed concerning a direct payment to the Expert, it is the customer’s responsibility to address the matter directly with the Expert, adhering to their specified terms and conditions.
9.3 If you are eligible for a refund from us based on the conditions outlined in paragraph 9.1, you can initiate the refund process by sending an email to hello@projectstack.co.uk. Please provide a detailed explanation for the cancellation, including pertinent information such as the order number, booking number, and username. The refund processing period may vary, and it is expected to take between 5 to 10 days for the refunded amount to be credited to the customer’s account.
10. Disputes
10.1 In the event of a dispute between a Customer and an Expert regarding the service or any concerns related to a Expert, we encourage customers to contact us via email at hello@projectstack.co.uk. We will thoroughly investigate such matters at our discretion and, if deemed necessary, may take appropriate action, including the removal of the service provider from our site. However, it is important to note that disputes or concerns related to the quality, completion, or ongoing nature of the work should be addressed directly with the service provider. The service agreement is a direct arrangement between the Customer and the Expert, and ProjectStack holds no responsibility for any loss or damage incurred by the Customer in relation to these matters.
11. Reviews
11.1 Customers may review Experts. The reviews must be honest and based on personal experience and should not contain offensive, racist or sexist content.
11.2 ProjectStack reserve the right to remove reviews at our sole discretion that we believe do not comply with these guidelines.
12. Liability
12.1 You agree that the contract for the provision of the Services is between you and the Expert and as such, it is the Expert who is responsible for the provision of the Services to you.
12.2 Projectstack.co.uk shall have no liability to you whatsoever in respect of the provision of the Services and / or your dealings with any of the Experts who are listed on the Website.
12.3 We accept no liability for the information contained on any third-party websites linked to on our Website and we won’t be liable for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.
12.4 We try to keep ProjectStack and its Services safe, secure, and functioning properly, but we cannot guarantee the continuous operation of or access to our Services.
13. General Provision
13.1 We reserve the right to change or update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. You should therefore check these Terms of Conditions whenever you return to our website to see whether any changes have been made, as these will be binding on you.
13.2 We may transfer our contract to someone else. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms and Conditions to another organisation.
13.3 You need our consent to transfer your rights to someone else.
13.4 Nobody else has any rights under our contract. This contract is between you and us. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms.
13.5 If any provisions hereof are held to be illegal or unenforceable, such provisions shall be severed and the remainder of these Term & Conditions shall remain in full force. Each of the paragraphs of these Terms and Conditions operates separately.
14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
14.1 These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Disputes arising in connection with these Terms & Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

2. Using ProjectStack as an Expert
2.1 ProjectStack is an online marketplace for services. By listing a service on our site (projectstack.co.uk) you by default are considered a Seller (Expert) on our site.
2.2 By using the website and/or services you are fully accepting the Terms and Conditions. If you do not accept these Terms and Conditions you must immediately stop using the website and/or services.
2.3 When you register as an Expert you will have your own profile page with all listings provided by you available for potential Customers to see.
2.4 When Experts post a listing, potential Customers can search our website to find potential Experts that meet their requirements.
2.5 All Experts on our website will have their own calendar and be able to manage their own availability so potential Customers can book their services directly on the website.
2.6 As an Expert you acknowledge that you are responsible for making sure that the days you cannot work are blocked out so potential Customers cannot book.
2.7 Each listing has an expiry date and will expire depending on the listing pack you purchase. Once the listings expire, Experts will need to purchase another pack in order for their listings to continue to be seen by potential Customers.
2.8 We ProjectStack cannot guarantee that potential Customers will purchase your services or express interest in your listings.
2.9 ProjectStack applies a commission fee based on the sale of each listing, with rates varying depending on the listing category. This commission is essential for the continued operation and maintenance of our platform. It enables us to sustain a high-quality marketplace that connects serious buyers with your listings, ensuring Experts have ongoing opportunities to attract and engage with potential Customers.
2.10 In the event that a potential Customer books an Expert’s service they are required to pay ProjectStack a partial payment upfront which will cover the commission fee the Expert owes us. It is important to note that this partial payment exclusively belongs to ProjectStack. The remaining balance, calculated as the listing price minus the partial payment paid to ProjectStack, is then directly paid to the Expert by the Customer.
2.11 After a Customers has made a booking they are required to pay ProjectStack the partial payment within 24 hours otherwise failure to do this will result in an automatic cancellation of the service booked.
2.12 After the Customer has made the partial payment to ProjectStack, we will proceed to share the relevant customer details with the Expert, enabling them to commence the work.
2.13 Customers will have an opportunity to review the Experts service on our website.
2.14 Experts can use our website to search for Customer requests. Experts can respond to requests with an offer.
2.15 ProjectStack cannot guarantee that a Customer will respond back to you or accept your offer.
2.16 You acknowledge that Experts on our platform are solely responsible for the execution and details of the services they offer. ProjectStack serves as a facilitator, connecting Experts with potential Customers within a trusted environment. While we strive to ensure a seamless experience, it is important to clarify that the Experts themselves are accountable for the work to be carried out, the accuracy of service details, and the overall quality of their offerings. ProjectStack assumes no direct responsibility for the service provision.
3. List a Service
3.1 When posting a listing the Expert is responsible for the accuracy, content and legality of the service listed.
3.2 When you list a service on our website you must ensure that all listings submitted:
- Does not have false, inaccurate, misleading, details about your services;
- Does not include your contact details or links to any other websites;
- Does not include any racial slurs, sexist remarks or any other offensive language & content;
- Is relevant and appropriate;
- Complies with applicable law in the UK and in any country from which the content is posted or viewed and does not promote illegal activity;
- Complies with the Privacy Notice and does not disclose any personal or confidential information;
- Does not contain material which is or potentially could be defamatory, obscene, aggressive, offensive, hateful, inflammatory or rude;
- Does not infringe the copyright or any intellectual property rights of any person and where such content relates to an image, you must ensure that all necessary consents and authorisations have been obtained;
3.3 ProjectStack will need to approve the listing before it appears on our website search result.
3.4 ProjectStack cannot guarantee exact time listing will appear on our website search results but aim to have this done within 48 hours.
4. Quality of Service Obligations
4.1 You warrant to ProjectStack that the Services that you provide to your Customers will be performed by you and anyone acting on your behalf with due care and diligence, with integrity and to such high standard of quality as it is reasonable for the Customer to expect in all the circumstances, and shall comply at all times with all laws, guidance and regulations that apply to your provision of the Services to your Customers (including, without limitation, those relating to data privacy, consumer law, and health & safety).
5. Payment
5.1 At the point of booking, customers are required to make a partial payment, and it is important to note that this partial payment exclusively belongs to ProjectStack. The remaining balance is to be settled by the customer directly with the Expert. This payment, and any associated terms, will be conducted according to the payment agreement established between the customer and the Expert.
6. Messages
6.1 All messages on via our site is monitored by ProjectStack.
6.2 Messages from Experts must:
- Not ask potential customers for personal details such as address, phone number or email address
- Not include any racial slurs, sexist remarks or any other offensive language & content; and
- Not include your contact details or links to any other websites.
7. Disputes
7.1 Experts acknowledge that Customers have the right to file a dispute about the service from the Expert.
7.2 In the event of a Customer complaint against an Expert, ProjectStack is committed to conducting a thorough investigation. Upon receiving a complaint, we will notify the Expert involved, initiating communication to gather their perspective on the matter. During the investigation, the Expert’s account may be temporarily placed on hold, preventing additional bookings until we ascertain there is no risk to potential Customers. ProjectStack reserves the right to take further action, including the removal of the Expert from our platform, which may result in the loss of accumulated reputation and reviews on their profile. It is important to note that such decisions are not solely based on individual complaints but may also consider the Expert’s overall track record, taking into account any history of complaints. We uphold a low tolerance for complaints as part of our commitment to maintaining a high-quality marketplace, prioritizing fewer service providers who consistently deliver excellence to our buyers.
7.3 ProjectStack cannot guarantee a time frame for the investigation to be completed and will not be responsible for any loss of time & money or debt incurred by the Expert while waiting for the investigation to close.
7.4 ProjectStack will not be liable for business losses, such as loss of data, profits, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, reputation or business interruption or for any losses arising, directly or indirectly from the outcome of the investigation.
8. Termination
8.1 Without affecting any other right or remedy available to us, ProjectStack may withdraw your registration as a Expert on the Website with immediate effect by giving you notice if: (a) you fail to pay any sums due to us during the Term; (b) if you fail to comply with your obligations in Clause 4 relating to your performance of the service agreement with your Customers; (c) if you receive a disproportionate number of complaints and/or bad reviews on the Website from Customers and/or Prospective Customers regarding your Services and/or dealings with customers more generally; (d) if, in our absolute discretion, we consider your registration as a Expert on the Website to be detrimental or potentially detrimental to the reputation of ProjectStack; (e) you are subject to an investigation by a competent regulatory authority, including without limitation, the Information Commissioner, the Competition and Markets Authority or Trading Standards.
8.2 You agree that ProjectStack shall not be liable to you or any third-party for any termination or restriction of your access to the Website.
8.3 You agree not to attempt to use the Website after your account has been terminated.
9. Purchasing Listings
9.1 In order to list a service, you will be required to purchase a pack of listings. The current cost of each pack is set out in the table below.
9.2 Listings expire after 365 days. Once listings have expired you will need to renew the listing by re – purchasing a listing pack.
9.3 Listing Pack prices vary according to Trades, as shown in the table below.
9.4 All Listing Packs are non-refundable.

10. Cancellations
10.1 Experts on our platform have the flexibility to manually accept or decline booking requests through their settings. When this option is enabled, Customers will make payment to the platform once the expert accepts the job. Conversely, if the option is not enabled, bookings are automatically confirmed, allowing Customers to proceed with payment immediately.
10.2 Experts acknowledge that in the event that they make a booking cancellation after the Customer has made patial payment to our platform, ProjectStack will initiate a refund to the Customer. Simultaneously, Experts will receive an invoice from ProjectStack for the refund amount, which they are obligated to settle within 7 days. Failure to make payment within the stipulated timeframe may result in the temporary hold of their account. In the event of non-payment, ProjectStack reserves the right to permanently remove the Expert’s account, leading to the forfeiture of any accumulated reputation and reviews on their profile.
10.3 Experts are required to inform customers about a booking cancellation by accessing their account, locating the specific booking, and initiating the cancellation process. This proactive notification ensures that customers receive automatic updates regarding the cancellation.
10.4 In order to maintain the fair and transparent operation of our platform, we reserve the right to closely monitor and assess instances of excessive cancellations by Experts or Customers. While we understand that cancellations may occasionally occur for legitimate reasons, repeated or systematic cancellations may be viewed as an attempt to manipulate the system and could be considered fraudulent activity. In such cases, ProjectStack retains the authority to remove the service provider from our platform.
10.5 ProjectStack employ stringent measures to prevent fraudulent activity, including carefully monitoring new sign-ups. Any attempt by a service provider to rejoin our platform under a different name or with false information will be subject to thorough scrutiny. We have implemented robust processes to identify and prevent such deceptive practices, ensuring the integrity of our platform. Any provider attempting to re-enter the platform through fraudulent means risks permanent removal. We are committed to fostering a trustworthy community and appreciate the cooperation of all service providers in upholding the standards of professionalism and reliability on ProjectStack.
10.6 In the event that an Expert requires the rescheduling of a confirmed service, we encourage direct communication between the Expert and the Customer to mutually agree upon an alternative date and time. However, we emphasize the importance of responsible conduct. Service providers are expected to prioritize clear and respectful communication to avoid any inconvenience to the Customer. Consistent reliability enhances the overall quality of our marketplace, and as such, we reserve the right to take appropriate measures, including the potential removal of service providers who engage in practices that adversely affect the reputation and reliability of our platform. We believe in fostering a community of responsible and professional service providers to maintain the integrity of our services.
11. Commission Fee
11.1 Experts acknowledge that the commission fee for their services is paid by the buyer at the time of booking. This payment serves as a partial upfront payment on the buyer’s side, relieving the seller from the necessity to pay upfront for leads. It is imperative for experts to recognize that the remaining balance, to be paid directly by the buyer, is calculated as the listing price minus the partial payment made to our site. This transparent process ensures a fair and efficient transaction model that benefits both experts and buyers on our platform.
11.2 Commission rates depending on what trade you fall in. The commission fee is set out in the table above.
11.3 ProjectStack may set out different commission rates for individual Experts at our own discretion.
12. Featured Status Fee
12.1 Experts can feature their listing by purchasing a featured status.
12.2 When the featured status is purchased, the Experts chosen listing will be highlighted in gold and boosted to higher in the search engine.
12.3 Based on how our algorithm works we cannot give any guarantee that the listing will be at the top of the search engine.
12.4 The featured status fee is £10 for 10 days. Featured status are non – refundable.
13. Claim a Listing Fee
13.1 ProjectStack may create a listing for you on your behalf. You can claim this listing by paying a claim a listing fee.
13.2 The claim a listing fee is clearly displayed.
13.3 Each claim a listing fee varies according to category and value of the service.
13.4 Claim a listing fee is non – refundable.
13.5 You understand that ProjectStack cannot guarantee that you will get bookings from having your listings displayed.
14. Limitation of Liability
14.1 You agree that the contract & responsibility for the provision of the Services is between you and the Customer.
14.2 In no event will we or our directors, employees or agents be liable to you or any third party for any direct, indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special or punitive damages, including lost profit, lost revenue, loss of data, or other damages arising from your use of the service, even if we advised of the possibility of such damages.
14.3 You agree that ProjectStack has no responsibility or liability for the deletion or failure to store any content maintained or transmitted by the Website. You also acknowledge that ProjectStack reserves the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Website (or any part thereof) with or without notice. ProjectStack shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of any Services.
14.4 We accept no liability for the information contained on any third-party websites linked to on our Website and we won’t be liable for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.
14.5 We try to keep ProjectStack and its Services safe, secure, and functioning properly, but we cannot guarantee the continuous operation of or access to our Services.
14.6 We shall not be liable to you in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise for any business losses, such as loss of data, profits, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, reputation or business interruption or for any losses which are not reasonably foreseeable by us arising, directly or indirectly from:
- viruses or other malicious software obtained by accessing, or linking to, our Services;
- glitches, bugs, errors, or inaccuracies of any kind in our Services;
